Microsoft Word provides built-in tools for creating and arranging different types of flowcharts. You can create your own flowchart by using different shapes and SmartArt. When working with shapes in any Office application, it’s always useful to use gridlines to make sure everything is sized and placed correctly.
If you’re already using a Google account, then there’s a free option that’s already been available to you: Google Drawings. In order to access Google Drawings, you’ll first need to get to your Google Drive. Then just click Create New and choose Google Drawings under the More option.
Flowchart Designer is a great app for mac to try first. You can choose from basic, equation, rectangle, and flowchart objects. Just pick one and then drag and drop it onto the canvas. Insert duplicate objects by double-clicking a blue arrow and to add a connector, just drag the blue circle to another object. You can pop in text easily for all shapes and include labels for connectors.
